Colostrim™ FAQ's
What is Colostrim™ and where does Colostrim™ come from?
Colostrim (also known as colostrum) is the pre-milk fluid secreted by cows in the first hours after birth. It is a nutrient-rich dairy product that supplies immune system factors to young calves to stimulate their immune systems and protect them from infections.
Colostrim is taken from cattle raised in America, specifically North Dakota and northern Wisconsin, during the first 12 hours after birth. The extraction process is humane and does not adversely affect the mother cow or calf. The calf still gets adequate amounts of colostrim from nursing.
Colostrim is carefully screened for impurities and is processed using a low heat, spray-dry method that does not compromise the integrity of the product. The cattle are raised without the use of hormones or antibiotics
Should ColosTrim™ be kept refrigerated? If I accidentally leave it out for a while, will it still be good?
Colostrim™ itself does not require refrigeration. In order to aid with digestion and absorption, we include lactobacillus Acidophilus, a healthy form of bacteria naturally occurring in the human gastrointestinal tract.
Because it is a live organism, refrigeration is required or the lactobacillus
Acidophilus organisms will die off due to heat. If left unrefrigerated,
Colostrim will still be effective.
